The Gangster Ghost Tour, Chicago

Interested in exploring Chicago from the perspective of ghosts and gangsters? Want to really immerse yourself in the history of this great American city.

Chicago is known for a colorful gangster past, starting during the 1920s and 30s with murder and mayhem down every alleyway. Gangster interactions became an everyday occurrence, with gangland shootings dominating news headlines from Chicago’s finest hotels, speakeasies, and mysterious sidewalks. Although the activity has since quieted down… it’s still alive, whether you want to believe it or not.

Our customized, historically enriched gangster tour will cover much of the history behind these famed murders, while we take you through the modern-day haunted crime scene locations that are still frequented by the famous actors. This is an extensive 1.5-mile walking tour.

After the tour we will enjoy lunch at the Exchequer pub. The first restaurant was established during the roaring ’20s – called the 226 CLUB. Rumor has it that the restaurant was a “speak-easy” in those days, patronized by none other than Al Capone. After all, Big Al lived just a few blocks south. Buffet Lunch will consist of Penne pasta with marinara sauce, Fettuccine Alfredo, Italian Sausage, Meatballs, Caesar Salad, Garlic and pizza bread. Choice of tea or coffee. Alcoholic beverages are available for an additional cost. Register by September 23.
