Dear Residents,
On February 5, Wauconda Park District residents had the opportunity to vote for a referendum to issue $12 million in bonds for the addition of programming space to the community center and the construction of an outdoor aquatic facility. The official results indicate that this referendum was not passed by a margin of 360 votes. This means that these improvements will not be made at this time.
The Board of Commissioners would like to thank those residents who attended the focus groups and assisted in the planning of these facilities. We would also like to thank all residents who took time out of their busy schedules to vote on this important issue.
The Board and Staff will continue to offer high quality recreational experiences to our residents, while continually investigating new opportunities.
Sincerely,
Board of Commissioners
